Leadership and communication training

For people who have to
get it right the first time.

Boards, executives and leadership teams don’t get a second go at a difficult announcement, a restructure or a crisis. Our practical, tailored workshops give your people the words, the plan and the confidence to handle the moment when it comes.

Inside a Wings workshop

Experience. Practice. Confidence.

Work on your real message.

Map stakeholders, develop the change story or build the key messages your organisation needs.

Start with the situation your people need to handle.

01

30 minutes.

Every program starts with a scoping conversation. No charge, no obligation.

02

Tailored.

Examples, scenarios and timing built around your organisation, not a generic case study.

03

Your place or ours.

At your workplace, on the Gold Coast or online. We’ll confirm the venue with you.

EXPERIENCE YOU CAN PUT INTO PRACTICE

More than 50 years of training people.

Between us, we’ve been training people for more than 50 years: in Defence, in government, at university and, for the past decade, through Wings. Much of it has been media interviews and the people skills that go with them. Getting a spokesperson ready for a hostile question. Coaching a chief executive before a television cross. Teaching a team how to have the conversation nobody wants to have.

Now we’re putting all of that experience to work for you. Alongside the media work, we’ve built a full leadership and communication program, designed and led by Deanna Nott and Dr Kate Ames. Both are serving senior military public affairs officers. Between them, they’ve led people through the exact situations these workshops prepare you for.

We work with boards, executive teams, government agencies, defence industry and not-for-profits, in person anywhere in Australia or online.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A SESSION?

01

Work on your real message.

02

Practise the difficult moment.

Pressure-test your answers. In media training, practise interviews on camera with feedback.

03

Leave with something useful.

Depending on your program, a message set, crisis communication plan, hybrid communication charter or follow-up coaching.
